USW: Europtec agrees to end Clarksburg lockout

The United Steelworkers have announced that Europtec USA, Inc. has agreed to end its lockout of 29 USW Local 567 members.

There was a push to get new voters Tuesday for National Voter Registration Day, exactly six weeks from Election Day.

Eight hours of arguments as President Obama’s clean power plan is challenged in federal court in Washington. 27 state attorneys general, lawmakers and representatives from coal companies joined in the arguments challenging the Environmental Protection Agency. They said the plan oversteps legal authority. Washington Correspondent Kellie Meyer was in the courtroom Tuesday.

Several more meetings are coming up to help homeowners get grants to reduce risks during future disasters in flood-ravaged areas.
