Lindsey Burnworth

Lindsey Burnworth joined the 5 News Team as a weekend reporter in November 2010. She became the full time Upshur, Randolph, and Barbour Counties reporter in June 2012, and became the 5 News Weekend anchor in May 2013.

Lindsey graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University in May 2012 with a degree in Television Journalism. While in school, Lindsey was the News Director and a reporter/host for the campus radio station, WWVU-FM/U92. She was also the crime reporter for her capstone class, WVU News.

Lindsey was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Beat Reporter for the Television Journalism department at WVU in her senior year. She was also honored by her peers as the 2011-2012 News Reporter of the Year at WWVU-FM/U92.

She has also had the wonderful opportunity to intern at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Mountaineer Sports Network in Morgantown, and even right here at WDTV!

Lindsey was born and raised in Finleyville, Pennsylvania, a small town south of Pittsburgh. When she’s not reporting, Lindsey loves spending time with her loved ones, relaxing, and cheering on the Steelers and Mountaineers!
