Lindsey Watson
Lindsey Watson joined the 5 News team May 2013 covering both Marion and Taylor counties.  She became the 5 News Daybreak and WV Midday anchor in March 2014.
Lindsey is originally from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, which is a small town just north of Pittsburgh. She graduated Cum Laude from Point Park University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism with an on-camera concentration.
While in school, she not only worked in the television studio, but she also held roles as an anchor, reporter, and producer on Point Park's closed circuit network newscast "Point News Now", and was also the host of the school's morning show.
She was awarded by her peers as "best on air talent" in both 2012 & 2013, and was also recognized for "outstanding contribution" to Point Park's news station UVIEW in 2013.
Independently, Lindsey has covered news all throughout Pittsburgh. She had also held several internships including one at our sister station in Pittsburgh, KDKA, along with The Pittsburgh CW and WPXI.
When she's not reporting, Lindsey loves to spend time with her family (including her puppy Buster) and friends, and of course, cheering on her beloved Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins!
Lindsey is so excited to be in the Mountain State, and is looking forward to telling the stories that matter to you!  Feel free to email her at lwatson@wdtv.com with story ideas.
