Alison Kaiser started working at WDTV in May 2017 as the Special Projects Reporter. A West Virginia native, Alison grew up in Charleston and is excited to start her career in her home state.

Alison has always had a passion for telling people's stories and knew from a young age that she wanted to work in news. Alison graduated from WVU with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in English. In school, Alison made the Dean's list and was a Presidential Scholar. Before working in television, Alison interned as a magazine writer at New South Media, Inc. and was published in several West Virginia-based magazines. During her senior year, she loved the time she spent working as the government beat reporter for her school's TV station, WVU News.

When she's not reporting, Alison enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on the Mountaineers.

If you see Alison around town, don't hesitate to stop and say "hi"! If you have any story ideas or want to reach out, feel free to email her at akaiser@wdtv.com or via her Facebook and Twitter profiles.
