UPDATE: Suspect in shooting turns himself in to police

Clarksburg Police have confirmed that Isaiah Thompson is now in police custody.

Thompson turned himself into police early Thursday morning after he was identified as the suspect in a shooting Wednesday.

There's no word on what charges he will face at this time.

Police are currently investigating a shooting on Worley Avenue in Clarksburg.

It happened at a home on Worley Street, late Wednesday night. Police say 17-year-old Isaiah Thompson showed up at the home. A man inside asked him to leave, but Thompson refused. That's when a struggle ensued and the suspect pulled the gun and shot the man.

That man was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was alert when crews got on scene and police say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. His name is not being released at this time.

Police are searching for the 17-year-old suspect. Isaiah Thompson is a white man, with blonde hair, who is about 6 feet tall and weighing around 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black tank top.

He is considered armed and dangerous. Police say do not approach the teenager, but call 911 if you see him.

Clarksburg Police are investigating.
