MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday that they had conducted alcohol compliance checks on thirteen businesses with the help of an underage operative.
The business checked were Sheetz in Star City, BFS in Westover, Circle K in Westover, Smoker Friendly in Westover, Rite Aid in Westover, Exxon in Westover, Donnie’s Citgo on Rt. 19 South, BFS on Chaplin Road, Giant Eagle at the University Town Center, Walmart at the University Town Center, Target at the University Town Center, Sheetz on Chaplin Road, and CVS in Star City.
The BFS in Westover was the only business that sold to the underage operative.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office says they congratulate the businesses that did not sell to the operative, and say that the compliance checks will continue throughout the county.
