BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - Snow, ice, and treacherous travel conditions made for a rough Wednesday night on the roads. Temperatures this morning were cold and will remain that way through the afternoon hours. There is some light at the end of the tunnel, temperatures will warm up to kick off this weekend!
Westerly winds continue to drag in colder air from our neighboring states. Very warm air currently sits to our southwest. As high pressure begins to slowly nudge eastward, all of this frigid air will go with it. Cold air will be replaced by some much nicer conditions to kick off this coming weekend. Sunshine and southwesterly flow on Friday allows temperatures to soar into the upper 50's for daytime highs. We keep the 50's through the weekend. However, our next low pressure system slides into the region on Saturday evening and by Monday we are back down into the 30's for daytime highs.
