Authorities investigating string of vehicle break-ins in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Authorities in Bridgeport are investigating a string of incidents in which items were removed from several cars in a local community.

According to Connect Bridgeport, city police responded to several calls on Bartlett Avenue, Third Street and Grand Avenue, Tuesday morning.

When officers arrived on scene they found that the perpetrator or perpetrators entered several vehicles and took items that could be removed quickly. Loose change was the main thing taken, however a camera and other items were also taken.

Though no suspects have been arrested at this time, police were able to gather fingerprints from the vehicles that could potentially help track down those responsible.
