Reports identify the suspect in the robbery as 44-year-old Thomas J. Burgoyne Jr.
Burgoyne is charged with robbery after he was discovered not long after the robbery with a bag containing $1000.
It’s reported that he arrived at the MVB Bank, asking for the money through a note to the teller. It also said he had a gun and would kill three people if the money was not given to him.
Burgoyne is being taken to North Central Regional Jail with a bond set at $500,000.
A man was arrested minutes after he apparently robbed the MVB Bank in Clarksburg, according to police.
The incident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. and the suspect was apprehended about a block away.
The man, who police say is in his 40s, is accused of taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was hurt during the incident.
