BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - Temperatures earlier this morning were thankfully not anywhere near as cold as what we woke up to yesterday morning. Some wintry mix greeted us earlier with freezing rain and snow in the higher elevations. In the higher terrain, temperatures remain in the middle and lower 30's and for that reason, a Winter Weather Advisory is still in effect. Some icing issues on the roadways could still be possible into the evening hours.
Across the lower elevations today, with temperatures significantly above freezing, only rain is expected to fall out of the sky. However, tonight, temperatures across the lowlands drop back down into the lower 30's and some below the freezing mark. Some more freezing rain could be possible tomorrow morning. Upslope snow showers possible into the higher terrain tomorrow afternoon as well.
