BIRDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV)-- The Bridgeport Urban hunt will begin September 9, 2017 and run through December 31, 2017.
The following are the dates and times for anyone interested in participating in the proficiency test and to obtain your license if you have already taken the proficiency in the last five years. You will also get your permission slips signed to hunt on city property at this time. This is also the time you fill out your hunting application and turn in your signed permission slips for approved tracts of land involved in the hunt.
These are the only dates and times to get your urban hunting license. Everyone that wants to participate has to come to one of these meetings.
Saturday, August 12, 2017 - 8am-9am - Bridgeport City Hall
Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - 6pm-7pm - Bridgeport City Hall
Saturday, August 19, 2017 - 8am-9am - Bridgeport City Hall
Thursday, August 31, 2017 - 6pm-7pm - Bridgeport City Hall
Hunting Permits will only be issued on the dates and times above.
All forms can be picked up at the Bridgeport Police Department Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm starting July 24, 2017.
Anyone with property and would like to have it considered for the urban hunt can stop and get the forms at the Police Department and fill them out and return them to the Police Department to be considered for the 2017 hunt. If you were in the hunt last year, you still need to fill out the forms for this year's hunt. They are not automatically renewed from year to year.
