Clarksburg holds annual holiday parade

CLARKSBURG, W. Va. (WDTV)- The city of Clarksburg was getting in the holiday spirit Friday. People lined the sidewalks along Main Street to watch the annual holiday parade.

This year's parade marshal was Kirsten Wyatt followed by many floats, businesses, and local schools. Despite the colder weather, people brought their holiday spirit to cheer on the parade and start the holiday season.

"I think we all just love the kids that come to watch the parade and being able to throw can to them. That's whats exciting us the most about it," said Teri Sigley.

"I like seeing Santa," said Whitney.

"Just being out and celebrating the holidays," said Abbie Pierce.

Everyone had their reason for going to the parade but they all had seemed to have one thing in common - they enjoyed seeing Chief Meteorologist Ken Meehan running back and forth handing out candy!
