UPDATE: Investigation launched into suspicious fire in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WDTV) — UPDATE

The fire that broke out at a home along Adams Avenue is considered suspicious.

According to Chief Rick Scott, the fire spread to the home next door, but there was minimal damage to the second home.

The home that caught fire was abandoned and will be demolished.

Clarksburg firefighters are working to stop flames spreading through a Clarksburg home.

The fire broke out along Adams Avenue just before 7:30 p.m., Monday.
