BUCKHANNON, W. Va. (WDTV) -- Commissioners in Upshur County were brought up to speed on the timeline for the atlantic Coast Pipeline in the area, Thursday morning.
A community liason told commissioners they may start seeing some Texas and Oklahoma license plates throughout the county ahead of the project's construction.
There's two major construction phases planned - one in 2018 and another in 2019. Each is expected to employ 400 to 600 laborers. Commissioners were told those positions would be filled by West Virginians.
The liaison said they hope to hold construction plan open houses in the county in January.
