Crews put out fire in abandon Clarksburg homes

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WDTV)-- UPDATE:
Crews also responded to another fire on Grove Avenue just before 8:00p.m. on Saturday.

No one was home at the time and crews suspect the house to also be abandoned. Firefighters believe the fire started on the first floor of the house.

No word on the cause of the blaze.

Crews worked to put out a fire at a house located on West Pike Street in Clarksburg, Saturday evening, just before 7:00 p.m.

The house is abandoned and officials said a neighbor first spotted the fire.

The fire was small and was put out quickly in the attic of the home.

The house, located at 765 West Pike Street, is on a busy roadway.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
