CLARKSBURG, W.Va. -- Dominion Energy announced Tuesday that it will again be awarding $1 million in environmental education and stewardship grants to nonprofit organizations and schools within the company's footprint.
Non-profit organizations can apply for grants of up to $25,000 to use for to improve the environment. Eligible public and private K-12 schools can apply for classroom grants of up to $5,000 for environmental education programs. The grants will be provided through the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation.
Dominion will consider applications that focus on one or more of the following:
-Educating students and the public about environmental stewardship
-Protecting and preserving natural habitats
-Improving open spaces and making nature accessible
Applications will be accepted through February 26. Recipients will be announced in April.
