Easton Hill set to shut down Friday night

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - Drivers in Morgantown may want to start planning their drives ahead of time, over the course of the next 14 days.

The intersection of U.S. 119 and Monongalia County 857, at Easton Hill, is set to shut down at 11:59 p.m. Friday night.

As 5 News reported last week, the major intersection will be closed over the next two weeks as crews continues to work on an ongoing construction project.

DOH District 4 Manager Don Williams told us last week he believes drivers will be happy with the finished product.

"It's really a re-alignment of the whole intersection, which we think will be significantly substantial in terms of helping with the traffic flow in that area," Williams said.

5 News' Austin Pollack spoke to some drivers last week, as well as Monongalia County commissioners. Some of you expressed concern that WVU's move-in weekend could compound the traffic issues.
