UPDATE: Trailer destroyed in fire was abandoned

MARION COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - UPDATE 12:50 PM

According to Marion County Fire officials, a trailer that was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning was abandoned.

The fire broke out at the trailer on Pickens Lane around 2 a.m. Both the trailer and a vehicle were deemed a total loss.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.They say the trailer did not have electricity when the fire started.

Windfield Fire, Pleasant Fire, Bunners Ridge Fire, Barrackville Fire, Boonesville Fire, and the Marion County Rescue Squad responded to the scene.

UPDATE 3:35 AM

Fire officials say a trailer and vehicle were destroyed by flames in Marion County, early Thursday morning.

According to officials on scene, the trailer and vehicle were not occupied at the time of the fire and no electricity was set up.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated. The trailer and vehicle is being ruled a total loss.

Multiple fire crews are on the scene of a working fire in Marion County.

According to 911 dispatchers, the incident was reported just before 2 am at trailer home on Pickens Lane.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
