FIRST ON 5: Dominion, union reach tentative agreement

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) - Dominion Hope and Dominion Transmission have reached a tentative agreement to a collective bargaining agreement with Local 69 of the Utility Workers Union of America, United Gas Workers.

This comes after a lockout last year, amid the union working without a contract. The tow sides then set an April 1st deadline to reach a new contract.

The following is a joint statement from Local 69 of the Utility Workers Union of America, United Gas Workers, Dominion Hope, Dominion Transmission:

"Local 69 of the Utility Workers Union of America, United Gas Workers, Dominion Hope and Dominion Transmission have reached a tentative agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement. Local 69 has commenced the ratification process. Further details will be forthcoming.

We remain committed to providing safe and reliable service to our Dominion Hope and Dominion Transmission customers."
