Fairmont man accused of 1986 sexual abuse case, moving trial date

FAIRMONT, W. Va. (WDTV) - Ronald Turner of Fairmont was in court on Friday. His attorney told the court, Turner will take his case to trial.

His trial was set to begin on September 5th. However, both the defense and prosecution agreed to move it to a later date.

Turner allegedly had sexual intercourse with an underage relative in 1986 and was arrested 30 years later. He was charged with sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in position of trust and sexual abuse in the third degree.
