UPDATE: Flooding causes multiple road closures across North Central West Virginia

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV)- Overnight and early morning rain showers have caused major and minor flooding across many counties in North Central West Virginia. As a result, many roads are closed. You can keep up with the latest closures here.

Road closures based off of county:

Doddridge County: WV 18 northbound is closed. WV 23, Big Flint, Broad Run, Riggins Run, Ralph's Run, Shorty Ford, and Meathouse Fork are also closed at this time.

Harrison County: I-79 southbound at mile marker 115 remains closed. Brushy Fork, Oral Lake, Long Run Road, and WV 270 before South Harrison School are also closed.

Traffic is being rerouted from Exit 115 northbound to Rt. 33 east to Rt. 20 southbound, and re-entering I-79 at Quiet Dell.

Lewis County:
I-79 northbound at Exit 99 at Weston is also closed. Traffic is being rerouted to Rt. 20 south to Buckhannon and then 33 to I-79.

Marion County: Rt. 58 near Industrial Park Road is closed. Cotton Wool Lane, Rt. 91 at Plum Run, Rt. 19 northbound at Rivesville, Rt. 73/73 at Boothsville, and CR 31/11 Pricketts Creek Road near the intersection with CR 80 are also closed. Four States Road is also facing closures due to high water.

Monongalia County: Sabraton Bridge has been closed, Bull Run Road, Rt. 19 at Citgo, Glory Barn Rd., Intersection of College Ave. and Willy's Ave, Pentress Road 7/59, Blacks Run Road, Russell Run Road, and Rt 19 at Mt. Morris are also experiencing closures. 4H Camp Road is also facing closure due to high water.

Taylor County: WV 76 at Bailey Town Church is closed from mile marker 3.0 to 3.2. WV 76 from Costellos to the Pop Factory from mile marker 5.1 to 5.3 is also closed, as well as CR 46 Ebby to Sandy Creek Road from mile marker 6.9 to 8.0. CR 3/2 Hawkins Road and CR 1/2 Taylor School Road from mile marker 0.01 to Corbin Branch Road are also closed.
