SALEM, W.Va. (WDTV)-- Kids in Salem on Saturday were hunting for eggs and stuffing their Easter baskets with treats.
The Genesis Salem Center held its annual Easter egg hunt.
Kids up to twelve-years-old were able to take part in the fun. An Easter egg coloring contest was also available.
Officials at the Genesis Salem Center said this is always a special time for those who are elderly and can't be with their families.
"They enjoy the kids. They enjoy interacting with the kids, stuffing the eggs, and the preparation for this event. The children love it. The residents love it. It's a chance for them to interact. Some of our residents may not have family or friends who can visit and this gives them an opportunity for them to host them in their home and do for them. The smiles and the interactions are amazing," said Shelly Currey, Recreational Director.
