Hamrick appointed to House Committee on Government Organization

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- House Speaker Tim Armstead has appointed Delegate Danny Hamrick, (R-Harrison) to serve as Vice-Chairman of the House of Delegates’ Committee on Government Organization.

He succeeds former committee Vice-Chairwoman Lynne Arvon (R-Raleigh) who was appointed Tuesday to the state Senate.

The Committee on Government Organization is responsible for reviewing legislation dealing with the structure and functions of the various departments of state government.

Hamrick is a Clarksburg native who was first elected to the House in 2012. In addition to his new role, Hamrick also serves as Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Interstate Cooperation and Chairman of the Joint Committee on Infrastructure.
