WESTON, W.Va (WDTV) - A hearing has been scheduled for later this month for Lena Lunsford, the woman charged with the murder of her daughter Aaliyah.
5 News has confirmed that a hearing for defense motion is scheduled for July 27th.
Back in June, the attorneys for Lunsford filed two motions in Lewis County to seek a jury consultant and a change of venue request.
In the filing, Tom Dyer said he believes Lunsford "cannot obtain a fair and impartial trial in Lewis County."
Lunsford was arrested in Florida in November 2016, and subsequently extradited to Lewis County for charges related to the 2011 disappearance of her then three-year-old Aaliyah Lunsford.
Lunsford's body has not been found, but Lena Lunsford has been charged with murder.
Her trial is expected to begin in October.
