Kate's Corner: Homemade playdough

By  |

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - My favorite thing to play with growing up was playdough. Well, that is if I could find any that wasn't already dried out.

Instead of buying some at the store, we are going to make some with just two ingredients you have at home: shaving cream and corn starch.

You can either make this in a bowl or on a plate or just right on the counter but either way, it's going to get messy!

Add equal parts shaving cream and corn starch and mix it together until you get that playdough consistency.

If it's too crumbly, add more shaving cream. If it's too wet, add more corn starch.

Once you get the right consistency (it may take a little), you can leave it white or if you want a color, just add some food coloring and knead it in.

There you have it! Playdough made from just shaving cream and corn starch. No more buying any from the store.
