Home destroyed after fire started by homeless people to keep warm

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - A home was destroyed after a fire was started by homeless people in Kanawha County, early Thursday morning.

According to WSAZ, the fire started just after 2 a.m at a home along Third avenue in East Bank.

Fire officials believe they started the fire inside the home to stay warm. The homeowner previously had issues with homeless people staying in the vacant home.

No one was injured in the blaze.

This is the second fire in two days where homeless people have started a fire to stay warm.
