UPDATE: House and Senate disagree on amendment

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV)-- For the second time Saturday night, the West Virginia Senate voted to approve an amendment to the teacher pay raise bill, sending the bill to the House of Delegates.

This follows hours of confusion and frustration as the wrong bill was sent to the House originally.

The House did not concur with the Senate's amended bill. This now goes to conference, wherein a group of 3 from the Senate and a group of 3 from the House will meet to work out their differences over the bill permitting a 5% pay raise and the bill permitting a 4% raise.

This is expected to take place now Monday morning as the Senate has closed down until 11:00 a.m. Monday.
