Kate's Corner: Defrost your window in seconds

BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - My least favorite part of winter is waiting to defrost my window or scraping the ice off in the cold. I have a trick to end that!

It is just two things you probably have around your house: water and rubbing alcohol.

In a spray bottle combine two parts water and one part rubbing alcohol. Mix it together and you have a spray that can defrost your window in seconds!

Since I can't bring my car into the studio, I used a mirror to demonstrate this spray. I had this mirror in the freezer for a couple of hours so it's frosted over. Take your spray and you can defrost it just like that!

So, how does this work? Well, it's all because rubbing alcohol has a freezing point of -128 degrees Fahrenheit. With a freezing point that low, you can even keep this spray in your car all winter long and it will never freeze.
