Kingwood swears in new police chief

KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A new police chief for Kingwood was sworn in before the city Tuesday night.

Charles "Charlie" Haney of Kingwood began his duties as chief on Monday.

Officials say Chief Haney was privately sworn in last Wednesday, before being sworn in before the public Tuesday evening.

Haney takes the place of former Chief Todd Nester, who resigned along with Officer Felix Thorn in late April.
