Last minute back to school shopping in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) - Schools will be back in session in just a few days. Families are shopping around to make sure their children are prepared for the new school year.

New backpacks, books, and clothes are just some things on the list for these families. We asked around to see how some people are doing in their search for supplies.

"I'm looking for a book bag, water bottles, a pencil box, and maybe a lunch box," said Natalie Runyon, an incoming 5th grader in Harrison County.

Runyon's mother explained that this year, it was relatively easy to find the supplies they needed. In the past, she explained that they would have to visit multiple stores to find some things.

Many stores in the Bridgeport area were filled with families doing their last minute back to school shopping. Harrison County Public schools will begin their new school year this Tuesday, August 15.
