London reacts to President Trump's retweets

(CBS) -- President Trump re-tweeted a series of anti-Muslims videos from the deputy leader of a far-right British group sparking new outrage.

The president posted the first video titled Muslim migrants beat up Dutch boy on crutches late Tuesday. It's believed to be fake.

Then, Trump re-tweeted another video showing a Muslim smashing a statue of the Virgin Mary.

The final video, which is four years old, shows a boy being pushed off of a roof.

The inflammatory videos were posted on Jayda Fransen's twitter page. She's a leader of Britain First, a far-right group that is against what it calls the "Islamification" of the United Kingdom.

Fransen was convicted last year of a hate crime and fined. She's currently out of jail on bail facing new charges.

In a tweet, Fransen responded saying "...GOD BLESS YOU TRUMP! GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

The Mayor of London has condemned the videos and many people here are wondering why Trump is ratcheting up his anti-muslim rhetoric.

"I was completely appalled that Donald Trump should retweet a convicted racist in this country. He is insighting religious hatred," says Labour MP Chris Bryant.

The council on American-Islamic relations released a statement that said "'Mr. Trump is clearly telling members of his base that they should hate Islam and Muslims.

The White House has not commented on the tweets.
