LEWIS COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The attorneys for Lena Lunsford, the woman charged with the murder of her daughter Aaliyah, have filed two motions in Lewis County to seek a jury consultant.
An employee with the Lewis County circuit court confirmed that Tom Dyer filed the motions this week.
In the filing, Dyer said he believes Lunsford "cannot obtain a fair and impartial trial in Lewis County."
Attached to the motions was an estimate of the cost of a jury consultant, between $7,520 and $10,650 plus expenses.
Lunsford was arrested in Florida in November 2016, and subsequently extradited to Lewis County for charges related to the 2011 disappearance of her then three-year-old Aaliyah Lunsford.
Lunsford's body has not been found, but Lena Lunsford has been charged with murder.
Her trial is expected to begin in October.
