HARRISON COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) -- Deals, deals and more deals!
Big retailers like Target, Kohl's, Walmart, Sears, and the list goes on, have released their Black Friday doorbuster ads, weeks before the big day.
"I've always liked the idea of Black Friday," said Joshua Rolen. "It gives families who may be less fortunate or not making as much money as others to get good deals and give good presents to their loved ones."
Like every year, stores are cutting down prices on those must have items in everyone's Christmas list.
However, shopping in the season to be jolly can be hassle for some.
"I like to make my gifts so i don't really do too much commercial shopping," said Johnathan Buckhalt. "I'm sure my wife appreciates those type of things."
Meanwhile, other shoppers believe Black Friday deals should been released way before November.
"It gives people a chance to plan ahead," said Rolen. "Maybe take the day off from work that day to go Black Friday shopping or figure out what they want and what they're going to get."
For many years, stores on were known to open as early as midnight on Black Friday. That changed recently, as now some of them like Walmart announced they would open their stores on Thanksgiving Day.
"The day of Thanksgiving should be for families to eat and to be with each other and not worry about rushing your lunch or dinner," said Rolen.
"I think a lot of families are trying to travel on Thanksgiving," said Buckhalt. "That's not the best for safety concerns you and Black Friday tends to be a little stressful."
Even though these doorbusters are making a buzz, shoppers want others to not forget the reason for this season.
"Remember what you're thankful for this Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas," said Buckhalt.
