MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A Pennsylvania man is behind bars after police say he kicked and punched a person in the head who was on the ground.
According to a press release from Chief Ed Preston of the Morgantown Police Department, officers responded around 4:00 a.m. Saturday to High Street.
It was then they saw 19-year-old Jason Wiemer of Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania, allegedly run toward a person on the ground, kick the person, and then punched the person's head before he was arrested.
The victim was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
Wiemer was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and was held in the North Central Regional Jail.
