BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV)- The next winter system moving through NCWV is this upcoming Wednesday.
Temperatures play a big role in the timing of snow to rain transition. Early in the day on Wednesday with low starting below freezing, most precipitation will be ice to snow showers. As the day warms up the highs will get into the mid-40s.
With temperatures warming up to above freezing our area will see a transition from mix precipitation to rain. Most of this will start to transition over to rain in the afternoon.
Then as the sunsets and temperatures start to cool off with the lingering moisture in the air will change back to some flurries mostly overnight as temperatures drop back below freezing.
Much like this past Sunday, Wednesday will see a mix of snow, ice, rain and back to snow.
