Man faces charges after reported robbery in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A man is facing charges after a reported robbery in Morgantown Thursday.

According to the criminal complaint, an officer responded to a reported robbery at a residence on Brookhaven Road. The victims said that they entered the residence and found a man named John Martin in the residence. The victims said Martin came out of the kitchen and pointed a silver revolver at them.

According to the complaint, the victims said they left the residence, going into the front yard. The victims said Matin ran outside, and continued pointing the revolver at them. Martin then demanded the victims give him $200. At that point, one of the victims pulled out a handgun from his hip and pointed it at Martin. Martin then put his revolver in his front pocket and walked up the street. The victims said that when they returned to the residence, they found around 130 rounds of ammo missing from their ammo container.

30-year-old Martin has been arrested and is currently being held at North Central Regional Jail.
