NCWV receives less rain than expected

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV)-- The western part of the state is dealing with some flooding along the Ohio River, but the National Weather Service said our state didn't receive nearly as much rain as first expected.

This video above shows what the scene looked like in Salem on Sunday. The town just had some wet roads and puddles. If you remember last weekend, it was quite a different story with many areas completely flooded.

Some places in our state recorded the second wettest February on record. At the 5 News Studio, we have received over 8 inches of rain so far.
