New traffic plan for Johnson Elementary School

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va (WDTV) - School officials have set up a new traffic plan for Johnson Elementary School, due to ongoing construction of the new Johnson School.

When school starts up again next week, parents will have to enter the school campus using City Park Drive, between Johnson Elementary School and Bridgeport High School.

At the back intersection, Johnson parents will turn right, coming to two lanes of one-way traffic.

Parents who want to drop off their children will drive in the right lane. The left lane is for parents choosing to park and walk their children. Those parents will follow the arrows through the parking lot and park. After returning to their cars, they'll follow the exit arrows onto Johnson Avenue.

All student walkers will be picked up from the Johnson Elementary School parking lot.

There will be no changes made to the traffic patterns for Bridgeport Middle School and Bridgeport High School.

Faculty at Johnson will park in the gravel lot adjacent to the football field's visitors' side ticket booth.
