UPDATE: Marion County man arrested after short motorcycle pursuit

A Marion County man is behind bars after he led authorities on a short pursuit, Tuesday morning.

According to the Marion County Sheriffs Department, 30-year-old Zachary Curtis was stopped by deputies around 1:15 am on Four States Road. Curtis did not have proper registration and the motorcycle he was riding had "defective equipment."

Curtis led deputies on a short pursuit before fleeing on foot. He was later taken into custody. Deputies found a white substance and a needle on the suspect.

Curtis is charged with possession of a controlled substance and fleeing while under the influence. He is being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

One person was arrested after a pursuit in Worthington early Wednesday morning.

According to 911 officials, Marion County deputies pursued a vehicle on Four States Road around 1:15 AM.

No one was injured. Details are not being released on what led to the pursuit.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office will be handling the investigation.
