BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) -- UPDATE 10:15 a.m.
John Paul Shelhammer, 31, was arrested after he allegedly led police on a pursuit along I-79 Monday night, according to Bridgeport Police Chief John Walker.

Walker tells 5 News that police had received a report of a car traveling south in the northbound lanes.
An officer was dispatched and after he spotted Shelhammer's car near mile marker 123, the officer turned on his emergency lights.
Shortly after that, a separate car had rear-ended the cruiser, according to Walker.
Police were able to track down Shelhammer near mile marker 119 and arrest him.
He is charged with a felony count of fleeing with reckless indifference.
Police are investigating after at least one police cruiser was hit and a pursuit was in place along I-79 in Harrison County, Monday evening.
According to dispatchers, at least one Bridgeport Police cruiser was struck by another vehicle near mile marker 123.
Officers pursued the suspect car, which they stopped near mile marker 119.
Dispatchers say the suspect vehicle was heading southbound in the northbound lane.
At this time, there's no word on any injuries.
