MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) -- UPDATE 3:23
Morgantown Police detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Morgantown late Thursday morning.
According to the Morgantown Police Department, officers responded to a hold up alarm at the United Bank on Earl Core Road.
Officials say the alarm went off at around 11:45 a.m. When officers arrived, a robbery had just taken place.
The suspect was described as a white man in his mid-twenties to early thirties wearing a red toboggan, a black and red flannel shirt, blue jeans, and dark colored glasses.
Officials say the suspect entered the bank and showed a note demanding money. The suspect fled from the bank and was last seen going toward Sabraton Avenue.
While 911 dispatchers initially reported an armed robbery, it has since been clarified that no weapons were shown during the robbery.
