Preston Community Arts Center holding auditions for holiday production

KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The Preston Community Arts Center is holding auditions for their production of “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

Officials say the show will be performed as an “old-time radio dessert theatre,” so actors will not need to memorize lines. However, they are looking for performers that are able to change their voices to sound like different people and are expressive. Actors will also be in charge of making some of the live sound effects.

The auditions will be held on October 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Preston Community Arts Center at 123 South Price Street in Kingwood. The show will be performed on December 22 and December 23 at 7 p.m.

Actors of all ages are asked to bring a headshot if they have one, an acting resume and a calendar to the audition.

The production is also looking for a stage manager, props person and sound technician.

The show is being directed by JoAnn Peterson. Peterson can be reached at 304-329-6336.
