Resident describes damaging storm

GRAFTON, W. Va. (WDTV) -- It was quite the scene in Grafton, Wednesday evening.

Residents say while they had experienced rain off and on all day, around 6:30 or 7 p.m., things started to change.

"It was really eerie, that's the best way I know how to tell you. The sky was a funny color and it started storming again, then a big boom came and it just looked like a circle of everything going right through my yard and over this way and down that way," described Tina Ward.

While most of the damage seemed to be contained to the Maple Avenue area, hundreds were left without power in the storm.

The National Weather Service has been alerted.
