BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - Earlier this morning we woke up to some rain showers as temperatures were still in the middle and upper 30's and even a few 40's. Since then, temperatures have dropped to freezing and rain has changed over to snow showers. Some snow could be moderate to heavy at times lower visibilities significantly. However, the snow won't stick around for too long for us in the lowlands.
This will be primarily an elevation driven snow event where the higher terrain will win out on snow totals. Between 3 and 6 inches of snow could fall through tonight in eastern parts of Tucker, Randolph, and Garrett counties. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 7 AM Thursday morning for those same counties. Hazardous driving conditions are expected with lowering visibilities and moderate snow possible.
