State Board of Education approves relocation of Ellenboro Elementary students

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WTDV) -- During its January meeting, the West Virginia Board of Education approved the relocation of Ellenboro Elementary students to Creed Collins and Harrisville Elementary Schools in Ritchie County.

The board also approved two policy changes during the meeting. According to officials, the changes to Policy 2460 (Educational Purpose and Acceptable Use of Electronic Attachment Resources, Technologies, and the Internet) "revisions clarify child safety and acceptable use of the Internet" and "update language to reflect cultural changes and advancements in technology."

Changes to Policy 2510 were also adopted, which include making high school academic credits more flexible, once 22 credits are earned. It also adopts a 10-point grading scale.
