HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A status hearing for a man accused of murder in Harrison County has been continued for a later date.

Brandon Koski faces charges of second-degree murder after the fatal beating of his grandmother, 70-year-old Hazel Koski, in 1999.

Koski, who was 18 years old at the time of the incident, has stayed at the William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital-- a psychiatric facility in Weston. Officials with the Harrison County Prosecutor's Office say a new defense attorney was appointed.
