Called the "Hearing for Healthy Communities," supporters of the Clean Power Plan held a press conference and panel discussion at the University of Charleston. There were lawmakers, faith leaders and public health experts, encouraging the EPA to keep the Clean Power Plan in place.

According to a press release, they were hoping their voices would "protect the region's air, water and climate from fossil fuel pollution" and help grow America's clean energy economy.
