UPDATE: Suspect dead in White Hall Walmart shooting

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WDTV)-- State Police have released more information into Sunday afternoon's shooting at the White Hall Walmart.

According to police, the incident involved two law enforcement officers from two separate, unspecified agencies. The officers were attempting to execute a bailpiece on the suspect for felony offenses.

The suspect involved had operated a motor vehicle in an aggressive manner toward officers. The two involved law enforcement officers discharged their firearms to stop the threat. The suspect later passed away.

Marion County Sheriff's deputies who were at the Walmart for a "Shop With a Cop" event responded to the scene when they heard gunshots.

This investigation is in its early stages. The names of the officers involved and the suspect are not being released at this time.

The West Virginia State Police are investigating the shooting incident.
