BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) - Since opening nine years ago, Brickside Bar & Grille has become a local favorite.
Brickside also serves meals like ribs, pasta and steaks.
"It's a nice atmosphere, the food has always been good; it's local and close to work, so it's always been a nice place to go," said one customer, Robery Fraley.
Another customer, Carly Frazier, added, "The steak hoagie is great and their wings are also very good."
The restaurant's owners say their key to success is making every customer feel like family.
"It's like we've known them forever; this is a neighborhood-type bar and grill," said Patrick O'Mara, one of Brickside's owners.
"[I] come with co-workers and [the owners] Rob and Pat know all of us by name, so we feel like we're at home when we're here," Fraley said.
The grille is known for their fresh burgers, hoagies, pizzas, and wings, as well as fun bar snacks like fried green beans and jalapeno bottle caps.
"Our burgers are pure angus beef, never frozen, we get them in three times a week," O'Mara said.
He continued, "Like I said, we have the biggest chicken wings in town and about 12 different sauces."
The 12 home-made wing sauces include flavors like Agave Sriracha, Tiger, and Sweet Thai Chili Pepper.
Brickside also has a formal dining room for meetings and an outdoor patio. They host several events throughout the week: free trivia on Tuesdays, karaoke on Wednesdays, and live music on Fridays.
O'Mara enjoys getting to feed the people in his community, saying "you get to meet a lot of people that you never would have met otherwise."
Overall, Brickside wants to continue to be a laid-back place where the community can enjoy refreshing drinks, delicious food, and plenty of good times.
"Regulars come in here and everybody has a good time," Frazier said.
"I want it to be their place to hang out, I want it to be their restaurant where they come in and they know everybody," said O'Mara.
