Tasty Tuesday: Hermosilla's Deli Market

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WDTV) - Hermosilla's Deli Market started in 1910 as a market in Fairmont. After it closed, Dennis Hermosilla decided to re-open it as a market and deli in 2013.

After Dennis passed away, his daughter Ali, continued to help run the business with her sister, brother and mother.

'We're always all together, we love it," she said.

The family focuses on creating delicious sandwiches with fresh deli meats, breads, veggies, and even some housemade condiments. They also offer a full salad bar, soups and pastas, pastries, and other Italian side dishes.

One of the most popular items on the menu is the 'Italian Bomb'. The sandwich comes with your choice of fresh bread, hot salami, capocollo, sopressata, habanero cheddar, hot pepper mustard and mild pepper rings. On the side, is a pepper shooter: a cherry pepper stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto.

The Hermosilla's take pride in serving things everyone can enjoy and offer gluten free and vegetarian options.

"It's all homemade, no additives or preservatives," Ali said, "We just want people to come here and feel good about getting a quick bite to eat."

The family says they're excited to see what comes next for the business.

'It's just exciting, watching my dad's dream flourish."
